The procedure
Ear microsuction is a clinical treatment describing the process of removing wax, debris and any foreign bodies from your ears by using a small suction tube and probe.
Generally, earwax is good for your ears and ears are usually self-cleaning. But impacted or excessive earwax can cause problems — from increased risk of ear pain and vertigo (loss of balance) to hearing reduction or total loss.
Other signs which may indicate that you need ear wax removal include itchy ears, your ears feeling blocked or pressure within the ears. The use of hearing aids and ear buds often mean that wax is unable to clear from your ears naturally, so clients who wear aids often require regular wax removal.
Each appointment includes an ear health assessment. Video and photos of your 'before' and 'after' wax removal available.

Ear microsuction is a highly effective method and is the safest option for removing ear wax. The procedure allows the clinician to see your ear canal and ear drum clearly to identify and visualise the build-up of wax.
I have been trained through the 'Ear Academy' — an accredited trainer for registered practitioners. The service I provide is for adults and children, and I provide services in my Old Romney clinic or in your own home (including care and nursing homes) in Kent and East Sussex.
Following a full consultation and explanation of the procedure, I will gain consent from you prior to carrying out a visual ear health assessment. If there is evidence of impacted wax, using a small probe and suction I will gently remove wax from your ear(s).
